​​how to: use reports and price exports in your utypia shop


There are different reports on your utypia shop's backend that may be very useful for you. And we offer the price ex- and import functionality as additional feature.
Learn how to use those best:

1. Reports: In general, reports are used for getting an overview about mainly sales related data. There are different report types for you available (utypia Business 6 shop version - similar ones in utypia consumernext available):
a) ​Order report: overview about orders per shop. 1 line per order including user and net/gross sales data.
b) Order line item report: overview about ordered items
c) like b including item details
d) price report: overview about prices in your shop. No possibility for changing them
e) account report: get a report with all users from your shop incl. their account data
f) product report: get a report of all your items in your catalog including all customization data (number of lines, date inset, text plate size..)
g) template export: overview for all templates saved on your catalog incl. assignment information
h) discount report: overview of discounts and user assignment

If you need to get a bigger amount of data like order data for a whole year, we recommend to divide that into several reports for max. 3 months.

2. Price Ex- and Import: This can be used for mass changing of product- and category data, like price, names, descriptions, meta data, in(visible) setting, SKUs.
If you have a uTypia consumernext shop, please remember to use your main shop system (Magento admin panel) for mass price updates and this ex- and import functionality.


​Good to know: how to use meta data for search engine optimization (SEO)

Meta tags are snippets of code that tell search engines important information about your web page, such as how they should display it in search results. They also tell web browsers how to display it to visitors. Every web page has meta tags, but they’re only visible in the HTML code.
The most important meta tags are: Meta title, meta description and meta keywords. 
Both our uTypia shopversions, uTypia Business 6 (B2B) and uTypia consumernext (B2C) provide sections where you can administrate those information. First on shop level, and additionally on product level.
The meta title is the page title that Google and most other search engines show in search results.
The meta description summarizes the page’s content. Search engines often use it for the snippet in search results.
Meta Keywords help tell search engines what the topic of the page is. They appear “behind the scenes,” in the source code of your page.

Having good, readable and sensef​ul meta tags helps offering better search results and leading more people to your website. So it's definitely worth taking a look at your shop's meta data and edit them in a SEO-friendly way with little effort!


Advertise your online shop


A short example why you should do advertisements for your online shop: imagine you are having a nice store where you want to sell your products. If you want people to come, stop by, have a look there and buy your products there, you would have to tell them that you store even exists. You will have to tell them where it exists, you would like to make sure that the store looks nice and modern and is clean. And that's the same for your online shop! A small reminder: do everything that comes to your mind that could help; and this is not all about Google. Add your shop's link on your invoices, in your e-mail signature, make sure that it's linked on your website and your social media accounts. Add flyers to your packages, send newsletters to your customers etc.... there are so many possibilities. 

We highly recommend to take care of advertising your shop and your shop's look - and to tell people where to find it! This makes sure that your customers' shopping experience is satisfying and increases your online shop's performance.​
